save it to the USB interface.
12. Total organic carbon analyzer is
equipped with a Bluetooth printer to print data quickly and easily.
Why
measure TOC
While organics are not
necessarily toxic, high concentrations in water can severely impact ecosystems
and damage equipment if not controlled and treated.
1. Avoiding Environmental Impacts
Even if organics themselves are
not directly toxic, they can be toxic to the environment in a river or stream.
Organic wastes can deplete oxygen in the water, cause fish to suffocate, and
may affect water ecosystems in many other ways. High levels of organics in
source water can affect production costs, cause pollution, create wastewater
treatment costs, create challenges in meeting regulations, and have negative
environmental consequences.
2. Ensure Regulatory Compliance
Organic compounds are precursors
to disinfection byproducts (DBPs), which are heavily regulated in the drinking
water industry. Measuring TOC allows for proper treatment to be implemented to
minimize the formation of DBPs and thus comply with regulatory requirements.
3. Wastewater Treatment
Monitoring TOC in wastewater
influent and effluent allows plants to effectively manage the treatment
process, redirect water for retention and additional treatment as needed, and
avoid violating discharge regulations.

Total organic carbon (TOC)
analyzers are essential analytical instruments for monitoring water quality and
measuring organic compounds, with prices ranging from $8,000 to $20,000.
